Happy Sunday! Today is the lazy day of the week when you can sleep as much as you want, eat as much as you want, walk as much as you want, watch as many series as you want, and nothing will happen to you for it!
Today, for the first time in a long time, I feel such a deep sense of satisfaction that I decided to do whatever I want. Just follow my intuition and feelings. I am very happy to be in such a blissful state and realize how much work I have done this week. I am so glad to know that my mental explosion is slowly subsiding, all the hard work on my new project is behind me, and ahead of me is only well-deserved rest.
I definitely like this Sunday. Did you know that Sunday used to be the first day of the week and that it was named after the sun?
Here are a couple more interesting facts about this day of the week: unlike the other six days of the week, in almost all languages, the word “Sunday” comes from the meaning “day of the sun.” However, that’s not all.
Sunday in Russian means resurrection. In other Slavic languages, such as Polish, Ukrainian, and Croatian, the word “Sunday” means “without work.” In months that start on a Sunday, there is always a Friday the 13th.
I think Sunday is such an important day for people to recharge before the new week. It is also important to spend this day when families can gather together. In Europe, shops are often closed on this day, and I agree with that.
I used to have to work on this day, and I hated it. My friends would get together, and I couldn’t join them. However, now I most look forward to Sunday, when my husband and I go for walks and spend all our time together somewhere outside the city. We even named these Sunday walks “Slow walks with the fox.”
Thanks to them, I realized that it is important not only to know how to work quality but also to rest quality. Silence and tranquility on this day are worth paying attention to.
