Once again, I realized that many people drive themselves into a corner. And the whole thing is their own thoughts, namely their way of thinking. People shape, unconsciously shape their lives through their thoughts and ideas. Have you ever noticed that sometimes people who seem to have the potential, when asked, “How can I afford this?” respond with, “I just can’t afford it” no matter what it pertains to?
When we say these thoughts aloud or even just think them, we automatically block our brain from functioning optimally. These thoughts become our beliefs, and thus, our reality.
But what if we learn to think a little differently and rephrase our thoughts, for instance, as a question: “How exactly can I afford this?” or “Where can I learn this?” This approach forces our brain to find solutions.
The phrases “I can’t afford this” and “How can I afford this?” are almost identical. But one is a statement, while the other is a question that prompts us to seek a solution.
In my life, there are often, almost daily, situations where I don’t know something or lack a skill. However, this doesn’t paralyze me or drive me into depression or panic. Instead, a question instantly pops into my mind: “How can I learn this and Where?”.
And you know, after a while, I do acquire the knowledge. Sometimes it takes just a few minutes to get the information, while other times it might take years. But I don’t stop; I continue to learn constantly.
I can hardly imagine what I’d be like if the phrase “I don’t know this” were permanently glued to my mind. The saying “It’s not shameful to not know, but it is shameful not to learn” is more relevant than ever.
These are my midnight conversations 🙂 In truth, I really enjoy the topic of self-development and mindset transformation. I believe that I owe my current lifestyle to this mindset.
